Scribblenauts Gets Superpowered with Unmasked
The Scribblenauts franchise has always been about unlocking the power of your imagination. Almost anything you could think of, Scribblenauts’ hero Maxwell could draw it into existence with his magical notebook. Of course, the key word there is “almost”. In a game where you could be just about anything, you still couldn’t be … [INSERT DRAMATIC PAUSE] … Batman. Well, that’s all about to change later this fall when Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and 5th Cell release Scribblenauts Unmasked – A DC Comics Adventure for the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
According to an announcement earlier this week, Scribblenauts Unmasked will feature a story with players taking Scribblenauts protagonist Maxwell on an imaginative quest throughout the DC Universe. Maxwell will hit iconic DC locales, including Gotham City, Metropolis, Atlantis, and more. Players will call upon their inner superhero as they team up with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and the rest of the Justice League to take on their fiercest foes, including The Joker, Lex Luthor, Sinestro, and more.
Players won’t just be treated to usual stable of DC characters, though, as Scribblenauts Unmasked will pull every character possible from the thousands of heroes and villains to ever grace a DC comic book. That means fans can expect the most eclectic roster ever in a comic book game, with a cast that includes the likes of Mogo, Black Manta, and Zatanna. And on the off chance you can’t find the exact hero or villain you want to play with, the Wii U and PC versions of Scribblenauts Unmasked will include a new Super Hero Creator tool giving players the ability to produce their own Super Hero or Super Villain using any item from the DC Comics universe and then setting properties for how it behaves, changing its appearance and powers. Players can then share their creations with the community and download others.
