The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have announced the date for their annual gamer driven fund raiser. This year, Extra Life will take place on Nov. 2, 2013.
Extra Life is a 24-hour video game marathon, started in 2008 by the Sarcastic Gamer website. Since its inception, Extra life has brought together thousands of gamers and donors, along with hundreds of websites. Together, they have raised millions of dollars for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals globally.
We are absolutely thrilled, but not surprised, with 2012’s amazing team effort to help kids at hospitals across North America and beyond,” said Jeromy “Doc” Adams, founder of Extra Life and the program’s director at CMN Hospitals. “Gamers of all kinds and ages came through and showed their ability to impact their communities through gaming. Our participants and supporters once again showed the Extra Life movement has the momentum to keep growing.
This year’s Extra Life marathon begins at 8 a.m. in your local time zone on Nov. 2, 2013 and ends at 8 a.m. on Nov. 3, 2013. For details on how to sign up for Extra Life, individuals or teams may visit www.extra-life.org/.
About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
