The Art of Hanky Panky Book 1 Review The Mommy Gamers Olivia Savage

Hi! I’m Marcia and I’m the single one of The Mommy Gamers, like super single…so I appreciate a good sexy book. I recently read The Art of Hanky Panky by Olivia Savage. If you’re a fan of naughty romance novels check out my YouTube review and I’ll tell you all about this book and what I thought of it. Stick around until the end of this quick book review video to find out how to win my copy of the book!

in The Art of Hanky Panky college student June Cooper is pretty much just focused on her studies. Recently single, and apparently addicted to caffeine and chocolate cake, she came off to me as a relatable and fun person. Like, I’d totally be her friend and eat chocolate cake with her. Her actual friend Katie convinces June that she needs a little more spice in her life, gets her to join her in an erotic art class.  I didn’t even know erotic art classes exist…and I have zero artistic abilities, but I’m really interested in art all of a sudden after reading this book.  Especially if there really are famous guest painters like Ryan Carter who show up with their perfect underwear model bodies looking for the intelligent and curvy quirky girl in the class. Seriously…that should be me.

I don’t want to ruin the story for you, so I’ll just tell you what I thought. It’s rare for me to slow down enough to find the time to read a book lately. So the fact that I couldn’t put this one down until I was done reading it says a lot. A LOT. I’m a huge fan of romance novels that really crank up the sexy stuff, and this book did not disappoint. I’ve read other book series that seem similar to this one,  that focused too much on the sexy parts of the book, but the storyline and writing fell flat. The Art of Hanky Panky brought the sexy, and had an engaging story that left me wanting more…of both those things.

I not only recommend this book, I’m going to this copy and pay it forward in the form of a giveaway. You can find the details below, but basically if you’re subscribed to this youtube chanel you’ve already got five easy entries.  My only suggestion if you win, is that when you are done you pass it along to a friend to enjoy and keep the sexy good times rolling.

The Art of Hanky Panky Book Giveaway

One of my favorite things is the fact that along with this book that Olivia sent me to enjoy, she included a hand written note. It was a sweet touch and not something you tend to get in the mail very often. While I did get the book for free, my review is honest and my words are my own. If you like the book you can find this one and The second book in the series, The Art of Seduction,  out now on Amazon here.  .

BOOK REVIEW: Landline by Rainbow Rowell

At the time of writing this I have read all Rainbow Rowell books minus Carry On. I’ve enjoyed every single one including this one. From what I’ve read in other reviews it seems a lot of people are upset that Neil isn’t perfect. This book has an interesting plot which includes time travel and second chances. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because some parts got annoyingly repetitive. Outside of that it made me laugh and cry. I read this with my husband and we both enjoyed it. It also helped remind me how much I love him. Be sure to watch the video above to hear more on why I loved Landline.

BOOK REVIEW: Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

For the month of October, The Mommy Gamers book club read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I became obsessed and immediately jumped into Dragonfly in Amber after finishing the first book.

The beginning of the book is a bit of a shock. Twenty years have passed and Claire is back in her own time visiting Scotland with her 20 year old daughter Brianna. Claire decides to tell Bri the truth about her father and it’s in the retelling that we find out what happened while Jaime and Claire were in France.

This book is very long, but I’m once again amazed by Diana Gabaldon’s incredible story telling. Nothing seemed extraneous. I savored every minute of Dragonfly in Amber.

You can check out our book club discussion of Outlander here.

Haven’t read Outlander yet? Seriously, stop waiting! Go! Run! Purchase Outlander and then pick up Dragonfly in Amber.
